Project Overview
Project Scope Overview: Forecast Collaboration
What is Forecast Collaboration?
Forecast Collaboration is a process where suppliers can view demand forecasts provided by HPE through the ONE platform. Suppliers have the ability to provide feedback and commit to fulfilling forecasted quantities.
How is the forecast data shared with suppliers?
HPE generates a forecast at the Finished Goods (FG) level and sends it to One Network through an API. Forecasts are updated at scheduled times or can be manually sent as needed.
Can I manually upload a forecast if needed?
Yes, there the One User Interface allows for manual forecast uploads to One Network if required.
What is a constrained build plan, and can I submit one?
Yes, suppliers can send a constrained build plan if there are capacity constraints or material shortages. This feature allows suppliers to provide a realistic production forecast based on their current limitations.
How do I view the forecast data on One Network?
Forecasts can be viewed directly on the One Network UI or downloaded as a CSV file. Suppliers can review the forecast quantities, buyer comments, and other details.
How do I submit my commitment back to HPE?
Suppliers can upload their commitment to HPE by downloading the forecast file, updating it with committed quantities and optional comments, and uploading it back through the One Network UI.
What information should I include in my commitment?
When submitting a commitment, suppliers should provide the committed quantity and may also include any relevant comments. This information will be returned to HPE through the API.
Where can I check if my commitment was successfully received?
After uploading a commitment, suppliers can validate it by navigating to the Search Order Forecast Collaboration screen. A green check mark indicates a successful upload.
What filters are available on the Order Forecast Workbench?
The Order Forecast Workbench allows suppliers to filter by date range, buyer, site locations, and forecast type, with data displayed in weekly increments. This allows for focused review of specific forecast periods.
How are forecast updates reflected in the system?
The system will display both the latest requested quantities from HPE and the most recent supplier commitments, along with any variance between them. Suppliers can also see when these values were last updated.
Can I make real-time updates to the Promise Quantity?
Yes, suppliers can update the Promise Quantity directly within the Order Forecast Workbench, or by batch upload through the CSV file. Once a Promise Quantity is modified, remember to save your changes.
